The Roper Hospital Committee on Infections was established by the Roper Hospital Executive Committee at its meeting on October 20, 1958 in response to recommendations from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals. The Committee on Infections was charged with reporting on the incidence of infection recorded by house staff and physicians.
